Fixed a but that caused an unhandled exception if loadPlugin() threw an
exception. Not sure whether this should be fixed for Java as well --
the bug shows up only if destructors run as part of a call to exit().
In C#, they do. In Java, they don't, but I don't know whether that is
guaranteed by the language spec.
